Islamic civilization has made significant contributions in the fields of science, medicine, philosophy, art, and literature, and has shaped the culture of many regions across the world, including the Middle East, South Asia, Africa, and parts of Europe. Islam has also influenced the development of Islamic law, known as Sharia, which provides guidance on personal, social, religious and economic issues.
